This exciting volunteer role involves being part of a project to reach a wide range of people and encourage them to use physical activity to improve their health and wellbeing. It also involves raising awareness and understanding with community physical activity providers about how to support people’s mental health.
Skills required:
• You are able to inspire and motivate people.
• You are passionate about the benefits of physical activity.
• You are a confident communicator with good listening skills.
• You are enthusiastic about working with people, enabling them to achieve personal goals and are committed to being part of the service on a regular basis.
• Understanding of mental health needs, or lived experience of mental health, is desirable, but not essential, for this role.
Location: The project is based across Adur, Worthing and surrounding areas and the role could be based in one of these areas or include travelling to different areas should you wish.
Hours: We are looking for those who have availability, preferably during the following days/times: Mon to Weds, 9am – 5pm. We would like a minimum commitment of two hours a week.
