This role involves working with staff to deliver our mental health and well-being support through our Families in Mind service supporting families with young children.
What's involved?
Volunteering a minimum of two hours a week alongside the team to help with one or more of the following:
- Support people who use our service to take part in our group sessions
- Practical help making refreshments and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for parents
- Support through individual conversation in the group.
What we ask for
- That you are practical, caring, considerate of others, empathetic, understanding and patient
- That you are a confident communicator with good listening and people skills
- Knowledge and experience or involvement with parents and early childhood would be welcome
- Experience of working with parents and/or early years welcomed
- Would be committed to being part of the service on a regular basis.
Locations:
Littlehampton on Monday mornings (10am-12noon)
Worthing on Tuesday afternoons (12noon-2pm)
Shoreham on Wednesday mornings (10am-12noon)
Fishersgate on Thursday afternoons (12noon-2pm)
