We are looking for someone to join our head office team in this new role

Are you an experienced and organised individual with finance experience looking for an exciting and rewarding new opportunity?

30 – 37.5 hours per week  

Full-time salary range: £24,004 – £28,000 (pro rata for PT hours) 

Based in Worthing with travel across West Sussex

In this new role, the Senior Finance and Resources Officer will take responsibility for leading all day to day finance and resource management tasks for West Sussex Mind.   

The successful candidate will:  

  • Have a good working knowledge of using the SAGE accounting system and experience of finance processes.    

  • Have or be studying for the Association of Accounting Technicians Bookkeeping qualification or be willing to consider working towards this qualification  

  • Have an excellent understanding of Office 365, and work at a level where they are able to provide basic advice and support to others. 

  • Be able to work flexibly and independently, with minimal supervision  

  • Be organised and proactive in order to effectively oversee suppliers and resources ensuring that the organisation is able to run efficiently.  

  • Be confident and able to adapt their skills to meet the requirements of an organisation in a period of growth and change. 

The environment is friendly and supportive, working in a close knit team where they will be encouraged to learn and develop. We are open to applications from individuals who have worked in the commercial sector but some knowledge and experience of working in a charity is desirable and an interest and commitment to our work is essential. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
