Are you an experienced and organised individual with finance experience looking for an exciting and rewarding new opportunity?

Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week  

Salary range: £28,684.50 – £32,682.00 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Based in Worthing with some travel across West Sussex

Overview:

The Business and Finance Officer will take responsibility for leading all day to day finance and resource (premises and equipment) management tasks for West Sussex Mind.   

The successful candidate will:  

  • Have a good working knowledge of using the SAGE accounting system (or equivalent) and experience of financial processes.    
  • Have or be studying for the Association of Accounting Technicians Bookkeeping qualification or be willing to consider working towards this qualification.
  • Have an excellent understanding of Office 365, and work at a level where they are able to provide basic advice and support to others. 
  • Be able to work flexibly and independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Be organised and proactive in order to effectively oversee suppliers and resources ensuring that the organisation is able to run efficiently.  
  • Be confident and able to adapt their skills to meet the requirements of an ever growing organisation. 

The environment is friendly and supportive, working in a close knit team, where they will be encouraged to learn and develop. We are open to applications from individuals who have worked in the commercial sector or perhaps for a small/medium business where the role covers many aspects of the business’s need, but some knowledge and experience of working in a charity is desirable and an interest and commitment to our work is essential. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
