HR and Governance Assistant Manager - 12 month post

Are you an experienced HR advisor looking for an opportunity to gain additional experience to step up to the next level in your HR career?

Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £30,010.50 pa (Full-time equivalent for 37.5 hours per week)

Contract: 12 month post

We are looking for someone who will take responsibility for managing all day to day HR and Governance tasks for West Sussex Mind for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave starting in February 2023.

As a small organisation the work is interesting and varied, there is a lot of scope to learn and develop, and the post holder will be able to see how their work is contributing to the organisation’s achievements. They will also be part of a friendly, supportive and close knit team.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a relevant CIPD qualification and/or have proven experience working
as a HR practitioner;
Have up to date knowledge of HR and equalities legislation/best practice;
Be confident and proactive and someone who enjoys leading, managing
and developing areas of work;

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress or gain a wider breadth of experience.

We are open to applications from individuals who have worked in the commercial sector but some knowledge and experience of working in a charity is desirable and an interest and commitment to our work is essential.
