Passionate about mental health recovery work and looking for a new challenge? We have a vacancy as a Pathfinder Mental Health Recovery Worker in our Worthing team, supporting individuals aged 18 and over.

Salary: £23,653.50 (with a 3% increase from April 2023)

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours a week), Monday to Friday

Location: The Gateway, 8-10 Durrington Lane, Worthing, BN13 2QG

Contract: Permanent

Annual Leave: 25 days (rising to 27 days after 2 years service)

Overview

West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to promoting mental well-being in local communities and supporting the recovery and independence of individuals we provide support to. We are looking for a Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our busy and exciting mental health services – that's also part of Pathfinder West Sussex. (www.pathfinderwestsussex.org.uk)

We’re looking for someone who has experience of working with people with mental health problems or individuals with lived experience of mental health. Post-holders will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for recovery focused mental health work and show that they can be a strong team player with real commitment to their work. You will also need to have initiative and be able to contribute to the direction and development of the service.

Successful applicants will provide recovery focused 1:1 and group support, as well as developing our peer led support within services and workshop programme. You’ll have access to an extensive training programme to continue your own learning and development.
