Part-time Mental Health Support Coordinator – Maternity cover

Could you make a difference to local people? West Sussex Mind (WS Mind) are looking for a Mental Health Support Co-ordinator, within the Worthing team to join the Emotional Wellbeing Services that provide support across Sussex – whilst a member of the team is on maternity leave.

Hours: Part Time - 18.5 hours per week

Salary: £14,151.02 per annum (FTE £28,684.50)

Contract:  Maternity Cover until April 2026

Location: Broadwater Surgery and The Gateway in Durrington

Overview:.    

The successful applicant will provide recovery focused 1:1 sessions, assessments, and risk assessments as a Mental Health Support Coordinator.  The role will also involve managing a caseload, working within a team based across GP surgeries managed by WS Mind and building a rapport with the GP surgeries across Worthing – mainly based at Broadwater surgery, part of the Central PCN. This role does involve independently working in the surgeries, in an autonomous way whilst managing a caseload, administrative tasks and other responsibilities.  

As a Mental Health Support Coordinator, you will see patients individually, supporting them with their mental health and wellbeing in a goal focused way in up to 6 one-to-one sessions – such as understanding depression, making sense of anxiety, creating Wellness Action Plans etc. You will be able to take a holistic and flexible approach in your work with individuals supporting around both social and psychological issues that arise and have an awareness of other local services and the Pathfinder alliance.
