Youth Mental Health Manager

We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and accomplished Youth Mental Health Manager to help us run our successful young people’s service, BeOK.

Permanent contract

Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £29,425.50 per annum based on 37.5 hours per week (£15.09 per hour)

Location: Chichester - with the expectation to work across the Chichester District and from our West Sussex Mind buildings in Littlehampton, Worthing or Southwick on a weekly basis.

Could you make a difference to local young people? West Sussex Mind are looking for a Youth Mental Health Manager to join our successful young people’s service, BeOK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team who work together to support young people aged 16 – 25 years old with mental health needs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide outreach into young people’s settings to develop and provide recovery focused one-to-one sessions, group support and learning opportunities.
  • Oversee and develop peer led support for service users.
  • Take on the supervision, support and development of some of the staff team.
  • Lead on the recruitment and induction of volunteers.

As well as having experience of working with young people with mental health needs, you will have some experience of line managing staff and volunteers. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for recovery focused mental health work, be able to work independently using your own initiative and work alongside the manager to develop the service.

Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and an independent means of transport in order to fulfil the role covering the Chichester District and supporting team members in other locations (mileage will be paid for travel beyond agreed base).
