Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours (4 - 5 days)

Salary: £30,010.50 per annum ( 3% pay increase agreed from April 23)

Location: Littlehampton or Worthing main base with the expectation to work across Worthing, Adur, Arun, Downs and Chichester District.

Contract: Permanent

Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per year rising to 27 days after 2 years, plus an additional allowance for bank holidays

Overview

Are you looking to take the next step into management? West Sussex Mind are looking for an enthusiastic and resilient Youth Mental Health Manager to join our successful team to support and develop the staff working across our Young People’s Service (BeOK) working with 16 – 25 year olds, and our Children and Young People’s Social Prescribing Service working with 8 – 17 year olds.

The successful candidate will:

Support, supervise and develop a team of Youth Mental Health Workers and Children & Young People’s Social Prescribers.

Work with the Children, Young People and Families Service Manager in the management and development of the services.

Work directly with a limited caseload of young people providing goal focused one-to-one support as lead by individual needs and goals.

As well as having experience of working with young people with mental health needs, you will have some experience of developing staff and volunteers. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for recovery focused mental health work, be able to work independently using your own initiative and work alongside the team and manager to develop the services. Perhaps you have experience line managing one or two staff and are ready to take the next step in supporting a team. You will have access to a range of training opportunities to develop your management skills and connect with other managers for peer support. As well as regular supervision with their manager, the staff have access to reflective practice to support their work.

Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and an independent means of transport in order to fulfil the role supporting team members in locations across West Sussex (mileage will be paid for travel beyond agreed base).
