Could you make a difference to local young people? West Sussex Mind are looking for a Youth Mental Health Worker to join our successful Youth Mental Health Service - BeOK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team who work together to support young people aged 16 – 25 years old with mental health needs.

Permanent contract

Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £25,000 (£12.82 per hour)

Location: Working across Arun with some travel across other areas required.

The successful applicant will provide outreach into young people’s settings to develop and provide recovery focused 1:1 sessions, group support and learning opportunities, as well as overseeing and developing peer led support for young adults. As part of the role they will also be responsible for line managing a peer support worker and/or volunteer within the service.

As well as having experience of working with young people with mental health needs, you will demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for recovery focused mental health work and be a strong team player. You will be able to work independently using your own initiative and be able to contribute to the development of the service.

Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and an independent means of transport in order to fulfil the role covering Arun and supporting team members in other locations (mileage will be paid for travel beyond agreed base).
