Salary: £13,355.52 (£27,027.00 Full time equivalent )
Hours: 18.5 hours (to be worked across three days)
Contract: Permanent
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per year rising to 27 days after 2 years pro-rata
Location: Littlehampton main base with the expectation to work across Arun District with some travel to our other West Sussex Mind buildings.

Overview:
Could you make a difference to local young people? West Sussex Mind are looking for a Youth Mental Health Worker to join our successful young people’s service, BeOK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team who work together to support young people aged 16 – 25 years old with mental health needs. Perhaps you have had experience in youth work, school pastoral roles or young people’s housing projects that you can bring to our team?
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and provide recovery focused one-to-one sessions, group support and learning opportunities to young people.
- Oversee and develop peer led support for service users.
- Provide outreach into young people’s settings to develop and provide support.
- Be responsible for line managing a peer support worker and/or volunteers within the service.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of young people’s mental health needs through training or experience and be able to work independently using initiative. As well as demonstrating enthusiasm and passion for recovery focused mental health work, you will be a strong team player willing to work with flexibility and creativity.
Applicants must have a full UK driving licence and an independent means of transport in order to fulfil the role covering the Arun area and supporting team members in other locations (mileage will be paid for travel beyond agreed base).
