Worthing Mayor Cllr Hazel Thorpe has chosen three charities - Coastal West Sussex Mind, the NSPCC and Care for Veterans to support during her year in office.

One of the biggest fundraising events during the year will be the Mayor's Variety Show on September 14, 7pm, at the Assembly Hall, Worthing.

The musicians, singers and dancers and renowned Elvis impersonator ‘Suspiciously Elvis’ are all kindly giving their time free. The show’s producer is Jorgen Booth who is also giving his time for free.

The show includes dancers from Glendale Theatre Arts, pianists Lucy Goldberg and Miles Young, comedian Alex Petrovic, choirs Outsing Cancer and the Sussex Gruffs, clarinet quartet Chalumeaux Too and the show band. Headline act is Suspiciously Elvis.

Cllr Thorpe said: “I’m so grateful to each performer, the presenters, all visual and sound technicians and our producer Jorgen Booth for giving their time and talent free to our variety show, meaning we can raise more money for my three chosen charities.”

Tickets, which are £10 for adults and £5 for under 18s, are selling fast and you can get your tickets here: or call 01903 218444..
