What is a Kilo Sale?

A Kilo Sale is a type of sale where items, in this case second-hand/vintage clothing, are sold by weight instead of individual prices. You pay a set price per kilogram (e.g £20 per kg), allowing you to mix and match different items and pay based on the total weight of your selection.

How much is it per Kilo?

We will be selling our Kilo at £20 with the following being the pricing for weight under 1 Kilo:

  • 1 kg (1000 g) - £20.00
  • 500 g - £10.00
  • 250 g - £5.00
  • 100 g - £2.00
  • 50 g - £1.00
  • 10 g - £0.20
  • 1 g - £0.02

Unit price is £0.02 per gram. The most you will ever pay for one item is £20.

How does it work?

When you arrive you will be provided with a bag (you can also bring your own) in which you can fill up as many items as you wish. You will only be charged on the weight, with one Kilo being £20. Once you have browsed the items and chosen those you want, you then go to the desk where your items will be weighed, and the final price calculated.

Entry to Kilo Sale:

This event will be free entry. Payment will only be required for the items you wish to purchase. Any additional donations on the day would be appreciated and will go towards supporting local people; however, this is not required.

Depending on how busy the sale is, you may be required to wait in a short queue so we can handle demand on the day. We will do our best to avoid any delays or queues.

Payment:

We can accept Card and Cash payments. All money raised at this event will go to West Sussex Mind- helping support local people in West Sussex with their mental health.

Mirrors and changing area:

Mirrors and a changing screen will be available throughout the sale for you to try items on. Please note the changing screen will be in a corner but won’t be fully private.

Returns and exchange:

All items for sale will go through checks before going on sale. We understand sometimes people may not fit into clothing or change their mind, however, due to the nature of the sale we cannot accept any returns or exchanges for the items on the day or after the sale.
