Join the conversation about identity and mental health on Time to Talk Day

January 2023

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Co-Production Panel is running a unique event about identity and its influence and impact on people’s mental health

This Time to Talk Day, 2 February 2023, we are hosting a free online event from 12-2:30pm about the influence and impact our identities can have on our mental health.

The event will be run by our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Co-Production panel, which consists of service users, volunteers, trustees and staff of diverse backgrounds and communities with lived experience of mental health.

You are invited to attend the event and join the conversation – with the opportunity to share experiences, ideas and resources in a safe and supportive environment.

Join us on Zoom or attend in person at West Sussex Mind, The Gateway, 8-10 Durrington Lane, Worthing, BN13 2QG.

During the event, you can join a “digital living room” to discuss one of eight topics in depth before rejoining the whole group to reflect on your experience of the day.

The eight topics are:

  • faith, sexuality, mental health and me
  • diagnosed with ADHD as an adult: the before and after
  • adoption, my personal(ity) journey
  • Time to Talk about menopause
  • Time to Talk about racism and mental health
  • Time to talk about the power of peer support
  • Time to talk about refugees and mental health
  • Time to talk about the Polish community and mental health.

We hope that one of these themes sparks your interest – and look forward to seeing you there!
