Challenge events

Run, cycle, climb or cycle - choose your challenge. The money you raise will help someone with a mental health problem

Run faster, jump higher, swim further… And help support mental health as you do it.

There’s nothing like challenging yourself to achieve something you never dreamed possible. Or challenging a friend who is capable of so much more than they realise.

So imagine doing that and raising money for West Sussex Mind at the same time! After all, giving is one of the five ways to well-being, and your gift could help someone recover good mental health.

As a small, independent charity, we rely on fundraising to help us support people with mental health issues across our community. Although our limited resources mean we can’t pay individual registration fees for big events, we will be your cheerleaders! We can support you with fundraising materials such as collecting tins and buckets, social media shout-outs you can share with your supporters and, of course, our lovely supporters’ T-shirts.

Why not:

  • Sign up for a marathon or half-marathon? Or even a triathlon?
  • Swim 100 lengths of your local pool, or do an endurance swim off one of our fantastic West Sussex beaches?
  • Take part in an organised parachute jump?
  • Challenge yourself to run every day?
  • Walk the South Downs Way?
  • Try and set a world record in something you love?
  • Not feeling active? Why not take up a reading challenge? Or learn to play an instrument?

Email our fundraising team at fundraising@westsussexmind.org and see how we can help you develop your idea into a fantastic, and challenging, fundraising event.
