This course is for anyone who works or lives with someone experiencing a mental health problem. Both practical and interactive, it will show you what non-specialists can do to help colleagues feel safe, supported and understood.
The course aims to:
- Provide an informed understanding of mental health
- Outline experiences of different mental health problems
- Provide practical guidance and tools for supporting people
- Share information about different types of support
- Explore how we can look after ourselves when supporting others
- Increase confidence in having supportive conversations about mental health
- Provide sources of support and information
A full day in-person training session costs £2,200 and a half-day virtual training course costs £1,300 for up to 16 people. We have subsidised rates for statutory bodies and registered charities.
