Specifically designed for professionals working with young people, and parents and caregivers, this workshop explores common issues affecting young people (aged 11-18), and examines the difficulties that surround talking about their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
In addition to being signposted to further resources after the event, participants will receive the following:
- Practical information about children and young people’s mental health, including symptoms of mental health difficulties and their impact
- Awareness of factors that help maintain good mental health
- An understanding of the developing mind
- Subject knowledge of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, as well as coping strategies
